I went to see 1984 at the theatre last week, and thought it was the perfect opportunity to come up with a new nail design! I Googled '1984 nail art', and was very surprised at the lack of designs based on the book. I didn't have much time, so kept the nails simple: repeating the eyeball and then focusing on important events and symbols from the book. My rat was a lot more menacing when I imagined it, and I STILL can't get a perfect static effect nail, but overall, I was really pleased with how these turned out!

I've recently been enjoying book-themed nail art, and can't wait to do more! I have a pile of ten books that I'm waiting to read - I'm really hoping some of those will inspire me too!
